THE BIG BANG THEORY
Dear Christian friends,
If you ask almost any scientist today where the Universe came from, they will tell you: “the Big Bang theory.”
NASA is our government’s space agency. Their budget is $25 billion per year. They send out missions into space and hire many top scientists to study our universe, including its origin.
However, in 2010, NASA made an amazing admission about the Big Bang Theory: Not only has it never been proved, it will probably never be proved. Soon afterwards, NASA removed this article from their website, but the internet doesn’t forget.

They wrote, “The Big Bang Theory is the dominant scientific theory about the origin of the universe. According to the big bang, the universe was created sometime between 10 billion and 20 billion years ago from a cosmic explosion that hurled matter and in all directions.
“Although the Big Bang Theory is widely accepted, it probably will never be proved; consequentially, leaving a number of tough, unanswered questions.”
The University of Michigan also made an interesting admission back in 2008: “About 15 billion years ago a tremendous explosion started the expansion of the universe. This explosion is known as the Big Bang. At the point of this event all of the matter and energy of space was contained at one point. what happened before the “Big Bang.” In other words, they have no idea where the Universe came from. They can only speculate. And they will probably never be able to prove the Big Bang Theory. They believe in a theory they can’t prove.

These same scientists who accept the Big Bang Theory by faith often criticize Christians for accepting a different origins theory “by faith.”
There is considerable evidence that the Bible is God’s Word and gives an accurate account of the origin of the Universe. However, most scientists reject this view — not because they can prove a different theory — but because their favorite theory excludes God from the picture. Without God, they can invent their own morality and live as they please.
On the Streets
On Friday December 9, we witnessed at 4th St. and Market. There were large numbers of Christmas shoppers on the street and no rain. Mike witnessed to Sib, a 14 year old girl he had previously witnessed to at the Wharf. Mike had been praying for her. Sib was very surprised that Mike had remembered her name. Sib was with a boy and girl about her age. They all listened as Mike shared the gospel with them. Mike also witnessed to Winston, who asked him for a Bible. Mike gave him one. Winston then asked about where to start reading in the Bible. Mike shared several chapters, which Winston wrote down.
Tats witnessed to Edwin, in his 30’s, who was raised in the church but had strayed from God. He got his contact information. Tats also witnessed to Anton, 19, who lives in Belmont. Anton said he believed that Jesus died and rose from the dead, but he only knew about God from watching very short TikTok videos! (They now can be up to 3 minutes long.) He had never read the Bible. He had never heard that fornication is wrong. Tats shared the gospel with him and got his contact information and plans to meet with him. Alex and John witnessed to Caden, 21. He claimed to be a Christian but thought people should be able to believe whatever they want. Alex also witnessed to Devon, who thought all truth is relative.
That day, I preached for almost an hour, which I rarely do. While I was preaching, Ryan ministered to Danny. Danny was in his 50’s. He had been an evangelical Christian who was married to a godly Christian woman and had two children. He was also a street preacher who worked with other preachers, including Jed Smock. However, he had a serious sexual fall and went to prison. There, he was brutally beaten several times by other prisoners. Danny became bitter towards God and started praying to Satan, asking him to stop the beatings. Danny began blaspheming God and became so demonized that other prisoners feared him and stopped beating him. After leaving prison, he lost one lung from cancer. He began brutally heckling any street preacher he saw. Many of them responded very angrily towards him, making him even more bitter towards God. Danny was very polite with us.
Danny insisted that he had blasphemed the Holy Spirit so couldn’t return to God. Ryan, Alex, Andy and I all ministered to him both Friday and Saturday. We tried to assure him that God still loved him and would receive him like the prodigal son, if he would repent and ask God for forgiveness. Alex also learned that his desire for marijuana was also keeping him from repenting. Danny said he would attend church with them, but didn’t show up. Please pray for Danny.
The next day, we witnessed at Powell and O’Farrell. Hundreds of young people dressed as Santa passed by as part of an annual event called “Santa Con.” Mike witnessed to Ram, from Nepal, who was visiting his brother. He got his phone number. He also witnessed to Lutz, from Kurdistan. He gave him a Bible and told him to read the gospel of John. I spoke with Jim, a Christian from Ft. Lauderdale. He was in San Francisco seeking to rescue his 17 year old daughter, who is a drug addict and homeless. Jim was able to find his daughter, and persuade her to return home. Jim was even willing to sleep on the streets in order to find his daughter. What a demonstration of God’s love for His prodigal children!
On Friday December 16, we witnessed at 4th St. and Market. Mike witnessed to Charlie, who is in a wheelchair and lives in the Tenderloin district. He was intoxicated, but sobered up while Mike spoke with him. He shared the gospel with him, encouraged him to stop drinking, and also invited him to City Impact church. Alex and Andy ministered to DiAngelo. He said he had been saved and baptized while in San Quentin prison. However, he wasn’t walking close to God and was still using marijuana. Andy urged him to destroy his marijuana stash, and DiAngelo said he was struggling over whether or not to do that. They prayed for him.
The next day, we held our last outreach of the year at Fisherman’s Wharf. Mike witnessed to George, who works with a group of con artists swindling tourists with a “shell game.” They do this right next to our outreach location. He said all religions lead to God. He was raised Catholic and listened as Mike shared the gospel with him. Alex spoke with Wataya, 14, who is from New Caledonia, a set of islands near Australia. She said she was saved, but was with her parents, who are not saved. As Mike prayed with her, she started crying. Tats witnessed to Nacles, a 13 year old boy who was with his 10 year old sister. He wanted to know about God and the Bible, and Tats shared the gospel with him. His parents were not around, but they are Jehovah’s Witnesses. Tats gave him some scriptures that show that Jesus Christ is God.
We held our first outreach of 2023 on Friday Jan. 6 at 16th St. and Mission. Ryan met Pablo, a Spanish-speaking Christian from Las Vegas. When Mike tried to minister to Alex, who spoke no English, Ryan brought Pablo over to help. Pablo shared the gospel with Alex in Spanish. He indicated he wanted to be saved, and they prayed with him.
The next day, we witnessed at Powell and O’Farrell. This is our best location for rainy days, as it has an awning over the street and many people are walking by. Alex witnessed to Yuri, who was selling cell phone cases at a store on that corner. Yuri said that, according to the Quran, God can’t have a son. Alex showed him several Bible verses that contradict that. Yuri said that he believed all prophets, but Alex told him that Jesus warned us about false prophets.
A Final Word
Thank you again for your prayers and financial support for this ministry, On Sat. March 4, about 20 Christians from Star of David Ministries joined us for an outreach at Fisherman’s Wharf. While some of them witnessed, many stood around and listened, becoming an audience.
Because we now had an audience, other people passing by were more likely to stop and listen to what we were doing. Some of you may not want to witness or give out tracts, but you can join our outreach and become part of an audience. Without saying a word, you can help others stop and listen to the gospel. God can use even your presence at an outreach to bring others to Himself.
I hope many of you will join us for an outreach this next month.
Yours in His love,
Larry Rosenbaum
