IS OUR NATION DOOMED
Dear Christian friends,
On October 19, 2022, Elon Musk, the world’s richest man, took control of Twitter. He spent $44 billion to purchase it. Twitter has about 300 million monthly users worldwide. After he took over Twitter, Musk released thousands of secret Twitter documents showing that users were censored because of their political beliefs.
If he had not released these documents, we might never have known the extent of US government corruption. Through these documents, we learned that US government agents, using taxpayer money, persuaded Twitter to restrict users’ posts in a successful effort to get Joe Biden elected President in 2020. Undoubtedly, Facebook, YouTube and other social media sites also allowed US government agents to influence the election. Facebook Founder Mark Zuckerberg admitted that this happened. The FBI has also admitted it, but called it “business as usual.” Our courts have long recognized that “requests” from government officials can be coercive because of the power differential.
The Foreign Influence Task Force (FITF), a US government entity that included the FBI as well as other US intelligence agencies expressly forbidden from domestic activities, numbered 80 agents engaged regularly in telling Twitter which messages to censor and which accounts to ban. The Department of Homeland Security brought in outside government contractors to separately pressure Twitter to suppress speech the US government did not like. The FBI paid Twitter over $3 million for their work in suppressing speech. Twitter became a government agent.
US government agencies literally handed Twitter lists of Americans it wanted to see silenced, and Twitter complied. A new Harvard CAPS/Harris Poll found that even though the mainstream media has ignored the “Twitter files,” Americans have not. Nearly two-thirds of respondents believe that Twitter was involved in politically-motivated censorship in advance of the 2020 election. Some 70 percent of those polled believe Congress must take action against this corporate/state censorship.
One of the most important examples of censorship involved the Hunter Biden laptop. On October 20, 2020, The New York Post reported on this laptop, and its contents. They included evidence that the President’s son and brother were making millions of dollars from corrupt deals with Ukraine and China, and that Joe Biden was taking at least 10% of their profits.
Even though the FBI had possession of the Hunter Biden laptop for a year and knew that it was real, they told Facebook, Twitter, and others that it was “fake Russian disinformation.” These social media companies suppressed the New York Post story, banned the New York Post from their sites, and wouldn’t allow others to post information about this story. In November, 2020, the Polling Company surveyed 1750 Biden voters in seven swing states. 45% said they were unaware of the Hunter Biden laptop story and over 9% said they would have changed their vote if they had known about that story. That alone would have changed the results of the 2020 election.
It is a clear violation of the First Amendment for a government agency to censor information, or seek to persuade private companies to censor information, This happened in 2020. It has probably happened in other elections.
Even without examining the role of voter fraud in recent elections, we now know that our Federal Government is illegally censoring the voices of its citizens in a successful attempt to change the results of our elections.
What I have shared, no doubt, is but the tip of an iceberg of government corruption. Unless this is changed, our American Republic is doomed. We no longer have free elections. Our elections are controlled by nameless bureaucrats working for government agencies. They continue undermining our republic no matter who is President.
“When the righteous increase, the people rejoice, but when the wicked rule, the people groan.” Prov. 29:2. “Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people” Prov. 14:34. “That day (the Day of the Lord) shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition.” 2 Thess. 2:3.
Over the past 60 years, we have seen a great falling away from faith in Jesus Christ, the Bible, and Biblical morality in our nation and through much of the world. One way in which we are seeing the results of this falling away is that our government has become corrupt and we have lost much of our freedom.
During the recent Covid pandemic, we saw government leaders and health bureaucrats order billions of people around the world to stay home and not leave except for “essential” reasons. In California, we learned that marijuana and alcohol sales were essential but church attendance was not essential. We could not visit our dying relatives but could gather by the thousands for “Black Lives Matters” protests. Please pray for our nation, that many will repent and be saved before it is too late.
On the Streets
On Fri. October 21, we witnessed at 4th and Market. Alex witnessed to David, who was in a wheelchair and was heckling my preaching. He is from Syria, and was upset that I had mentioned Israel. He was also addicted to heroin. Alex shared his testimony of being delivered from heroin and prayed for him. Alex also witnessed to Scottie, who appeared to be on fentanyl and was going in and out of consciousness. Alex gave him some food and a blanket and prayed for him. Alex also witnessed to two Jehovah Witnesses, Jason and Andrew.
John and Andy witnessed to a drug dealer who was into New Age teachings. They warned him that the spirits he was dealing with were deceiving spirits. Ryan witnessed to May, who was passing out cards next to us offering psychic readings. She claimed to be a Christian, was married with two children, and said she was only doing this to support her family. Ryan warned her that God condemns this activity. He got her phone number and will try to meet with her. Ryan also witnessed to Devon, a street performer, who asked him how we can know what is good or evil. His parents are Christian. Ryan answered his questions and prayed for him.
Uriel and Mike ministered to Mike. He was carrying a chair, and sat down to listen to our preaching. He stayed for two hours. He said he was a believer but struggled with intellectual doubts. He came to City Impact on Sunday.
The next day, we witnessed at Fisherman’s Wharf. Tats witnessed to Brian, who is homeless and had a lot of questions about the Bible. Tats tried to answer his questions. Mike witnessed to an 11-year-old boy who was walking down the street by himself with an anaconda and a monitor lizard. He was charging people to pet or hold them. Mike explained the gospel to him and urged him to get right with God.
On Fri. October 28, we witnessed at 24th and Mission. Andy spoke with Paul, whom he and Mike had known from City Impact several years ago. Since that time, Paul had become paralyzed after his wife pushed him off a balcony. He spoke about faith in Jesus and about being in great despair. Andy was not sure if he was saved but got his contact information and plans to meet with him. I witnessed to Julio, a Catholic man in his 40’s. He expressed belief in the Bible and said he had recently stopped using marijuana. I explained the gospel to him and gave him a gospel tract with my contact information.
The next day, we were again at Fisherman’s Wharf. Tats ministered to Victor, 23, who was with his girlfriend. Victor was a new believer, but his girlfriend was an atheist who was hostile towards the gospel. Tats warned him about fornication and got his contact information. Mike witnessed to Baptiste, a tourist from France, who believed God is a force. He had read the Bible, but did not understand the gospel. Mike tried to explain it to him. He friended him on Facebook so they could communicate.
A Final Word

reach the people of San Francisco, and the many visitors to our city, with the gospel.
As the new year began, the 10 day rainfall in San Francisco was the most in 150 years. Many of the streets, including Fisherman’s Wharf, were flooded. This rain may not be sufficient to end a two year drought. Over the past two years, only two of our outreaches were affected by rain. Now that the rains have returned, it has made it harder to witness. So far, we have not needed to cancel any outreaches.
